The trustees of the K N A Foundation for Education hold in trust the philosophy and ethos of the trust and its institutions, not only its financial and physical assets. They include
Seetha Ananthasivan, Founder and Executive Trustee. She has an abiding interest in understanding and applying ecological principles to communities and individual and group learning, thereby to live harmoniously with Nature. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, she worked first with the World Wildlife Fund- India and since then has been involved with culture building for ecological living in educational institutions. She is also the founder of the Bhoomi College and the Sankalan Centre for Inner and Outer Ecology and is committed to working with holistic education, sustainable economics and agriculture.
Ravi B Somaiah, Founder Trustee. A Mechanical Engineer from NIT, Karnataka (REC) Suratkal, he has over 25 years of experience in Industry. He has been overseeing infrastructure development for the school since its inception. He continues to be involved in developing new projects of the Foundation.
M.S.Sambamurthy, Chennai, has been an H.R. Consultant who has focussed on personal growth and institutional culture building for over 3 decades. He also brings into the Trust his expertise in Systems Management gathered over his years of experience as a Banker and H.R.Head in Sundaram Fasteners.
Rajgopal, Mumbai, is an H R Consultant who has for over 35 years been committed to working in innovative ways to foster well-being in organisations; innumerable people remember him for being a personal growth ‘coach’ and for his fascinating interpretations of Indian Mythology.
An educator by choice, Durga (Ananthalakshmi) Sitaraman is passionate about holistic education that fosters ecological consciousness in children. Holding a M.S. degree in Economics, she started her career in economic and statistical research. She has been working at Prakriya for the past 18 years, co-developing and co-holding a spectrum of practices and institutional policies that focus on humanising education and taking nature’s principles to the classrooms. Currently a trustee of the KNA Foundation for Education, she is actively involved in co-creating nature-centered curricula, teacher education, and culture-building processes within Prakriya. Durga is also deeply interested in the civilizational history and spiritual traditions of India.
Rema Kumar is an educationist with over 30 years of experience. She has been with Prakriya Green Wisdom School since its initial days and has partnered in the vision of humanising education in tune with Nature's principles. She has held the role of Director both in Prakriya School and Bhoomi College. She is a trained process facilitator and is deeply interested in culture building processes in institutions.She has co-authored the book Education In Tune with Nature.
Deepthi Lakshmi N, Trustee. Bsc graduate with 11 years of Experience in IT as a Senior Quality Analyst, she has worked at companies that were pioneers in their domain. An enabler and a quick learner, Deepthi has been instrumental in implementing software and IT infrastructure for easy management of the school. She also works closely with the accounts and the admin teams in ensuring compliance, reducing operating costs, increasing efficiency and correctness. She is also part of the School Management Committee and offers her perspectives from a systemic view. Deepthi also works with the Bhoomi projects – the Santhe, the programs in the various spaces and the Bhoomi garden.
Nayan N D has been in charge of infrastructure development and management in the Prakriya- Bhoomi campus for a couple of years. He has trained himself in overseeing earth friendly construction.
He has excellent managerial skills and connects with people with great ease.He looks into land related activities of the trust.
He is a trained outbound expert who enjoys taking children and adults to wilderness areas.He is skilled at conducting adventure activities to foster team building as well.
